-------- -------- -------- -------- --------
Previous event information:
WHAT: CTPCA Legislative Day
WHEN: March 25, 2020
WHERE: Connecticut State Capitol, Hartford, Connecticut
In a proactive effort to forge and strengthen an ongoing productive relationship between our industry and our state legislators, the Connecticut Pest Control Association is proud to announce the first annual CTPCA Legislative Day.
8:30 am - meet in cafeteria in state capitol
8:45 am - debriefing / training with Anthony Giovanni
9:00 am - appointments with state leaders
12:00 pm - Legislative Day concludes
Anthony Giovanni of Modern Pest Services will be leading the training, so participants will be fully prepared to talk about the issues. Jake Plevelich, Director of Public Policy for NPMA, who will also be in attendance, is preparing 1 pagers with talking points for participants. We will share those with participants as soon as they become available. For questions on the training, please email Anthony or Jake.
Our goals for the CTPCA Legislative Day are twofold. One, we'd like to familiarize and educate our state leaders about the pest control industry, and create a greater awareness of the important work we do every day to protect public health and property. Next, we'd like to discuss the topic of preemption and our stance on it. We will provide talking points and discuss further at the morning training.
