To help you do your job more effectively, both CTPCA and NPMA lobby on behalf of the industry to ensure your concerns as a pest management professional are heard.
NPMA is the only entity that represents the pest management industry before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies, such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Labor, HUD, Department of Transportation, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Our government affairs staff tracks legislation, regulatory changes and policy related media and communicate this information with your state association’s leadership.
Working with CTPCA, NPMA monitors state legislation and provides updates on pertinent legislation to members. NPMA also helps members develop legislative strategy, talking points and position papers. NPMA will engage in direct state lobbying if asked by CTPCA.
Additionally, NPMA provides a leadership role with the organizations that represent or are comprised of state regulatory officials, including the American Association of Pesticide Control Officials (AAPCO), the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials (ASPCRO) and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture.
